"Neferneferuaten Nefertiti (/ˌnɛfərˈtiːti/[3]) (ca. 1370 – ca. 1330 BC) was an Egyptian queen and the Great Royal Wife (chief consort) of Akhenaten, an Egyptian Pharaoh. Nefertiti and her husband were known for a religious revolution, in which they worshiped one god only, Aten, or the sun disc.
Together Akhenaten and Nefertiti were responsible for the creation of a whole new monotheistic religion which changed the ways of religion within Egypt. With her husband, she reigned at what was arguably the wealthiest period of Ancient Egyptian history. Some scholars believe that Nefertiti ruled briefly as Neferneferuaten after her husband's death and before the accession of Tutankhamun, although this identification is a matter of ongoing debate.

In May 2017, I visited a large exhibit of Egyption artifacts at the Neues Museum in Berlin, ever since I planned the visit to the museum, I had the phrase "Freeing Nefertiti" coming into my head. As a metaphor what could this mean? Why suddenly was this one artifact becoming so compelling? So I began to explore what "Freeing Nefertiti" meant both personally and collectively and my writing turned into a narrative in Nefertiti's own words.
In the Museum is a sculpted bust of Queen Nefertiti, one of the most famous depictions in the world. The bust representing supreme feminine beauty. She is fought over, romanticized and studied in detail…. but who was she and what does her archetype really represent? I began to ask myself, how can I thru my intuition "free Nefertiti"... in my own being… free... sublime feminine monarchy from it's perceived captivity? How could I somehow assist this QUEEN in being truly seen for who she is?
Her bust an exquisite representation of Egyptian beauty, almost alien and sublime, is missing an eye, and her ears have been broken. She is worn like the best of us, and yet she still represents something profound.
A queen onto herself, Nefertiti ruled Egypt along side her husband, almost equally. Anchoring a new era of the worship of the Sun Cult in Egypt.
What a time of change and and profound cultural shifting for Egypt .
Nefertiti Speaks:
"when we began to worship one god being "Atan"… I as the Queen of Egypt, myself and my daughters began to embody that energy, to balance the energy fields and it was a very powerful time of embodiment. In those days we were living in direct connection with our devotion. The sun it's self as we began to understand that the sun's energy is an all powerful source of life. We began to integrate that knowing into every aspect of our lives, that understanding integrated with the wisdom of the Ankh, gave us great power, to lead and maintain our lives.
My story has not really been told, though many have tried, for it seems we try to make history to fit our ideas of life, rather than to let the truth inform us. Do not look to what they have said, but rather to the clues that WE have directly left for you. Also there are those who wish to harness this power for themselves, and to control. I ask you to free me... that the truth may be known and the power be returned to the people and a deeper understanding of our mysteries be brought forth. Let it be known that I am no ordinary woman, nor is any woman for each woman carries with in her the capacity to embody this solar queen energy. And if you dear woman, were to have this power again… as I once did… what would you do with "your one true, magnificent life" ? I want to encourage you to Free the beauty inside yourself, don't hold back from greatness, from your purpose nor from the truth of why you came here to Earth.
I am many things to many people, but few have called me by my true name… free me and free yourself, free me by seeing me as I am and see something of how powerful my queenship was as an energetic signature , for it to still bare such importance in the world. My story will be told, in each woman's eyes.
It was long ago that I first laid eyes on my husband to be, the great "Akhenaten"… the most beautiful man I had ever seen, he had a vision of the future unlike anything I had ever known. And so I followed his bath outwardly...
In the beginning the women had to hide our shrines, and keep them to ourselves, we quietly kept the prayers an alter fires burning for the Goddesses of the "old world"...as the Light of Atan, spread across the land.
This is how we become alchemists, embracing fully both an outer and an inner world. This is how we emerged something new. This is how you will retrieve my message and bring her forth in a new way to the world.
I have waited here silenced in stone for so long, but my spirit cannot be concealed nor contained. I am only a small part of a greater whole we know as the great mother, and she embodies thru me, and you and you and you…but also I was part of things, that I am no longer proud of… for a greater message for humanity is needed now… an embracing of the great union with Sacredness and the Planet, thru union and acceptance of each other.
That is also why, I am in Berlin…To transmit a new way...look deeper and know...My purpose in being here is not what it appears to be…
There is History and there is Herstory, let her story awaken with in you… if anything I can remind you, you are greater than the small personality and body you call yourself. Awaken the Ka, and live forever, consciously. As I smile from my face of plastered antiquity, the greater secrets of this sacred power still wait to be reveled, inside of every woman. This still burns as a knowing inside of me. Do you remember her… do you remember her… ?
And if you are to know me, than know my Daughters, for their grace has blessed the land and brought us great joy and happiness, and yet each has had a fate to follow, and her story goes forth too. You see I am only part of this great unfoldment, yet I am here: …. Daughter, Wife, Lover, Queen, Mother, ….. remember… and that was our purpose, not that I knew it would quite be like this, the continuum… the after life… those treasures I thought I needed, I see are only road maps, and clues, because I really live on in the flesh, thru each of you."

So this was the flow of Nefertiti's voice coming thru, and at first i thought I would "free her", in my writing because her energy needed to be liberated. But then I thought about what that meant inside myself, and here I was in Berlin with this chance to go and see the "most beautiful woman in the world" immortalized in stone and it made me realize this act of "freeing" was more about bringing that Solar Royal aspect alive in myself, for the purpose of self understanding and to empower others.
And so it is, it is done it is done it is done!
